Would a Scion tC save me gas opposed to a Jeep Wrangler?
Right now, I’m roughly spending 340-400 a month on gas with my Jeep.. if I were to get a tC, my car payment would go up $75.00 but I’m guessing I would save on gas?
I still have to calculate how much I drive in a month, or 2 wks. I’ve had to lend out my car the past month on and off so my gas mileage isn’t accurately calculated..
in response to the shoebox comment.. do you know what a wrangler looks like? It IS a shoebox!! haha =)

I think the Tc has a smaller engine (v-4) but you can just by looking at its about as aerodynamic as a shoebox.
If you are spending that much a month in gas, then yes I would guess that you would save money. I used to have a wranger that got crap for mileage, along the lines of 13-15 mpg while the scion should get you in the upper 20′s.
I don’t have a tc but I have a xb. I get 30 to 34 miles per gallon in it. I have my 2000 Wrangler Sport for sale now. I got around 15 miles a gallon in it so I am sure you would be happy.
prob so. spend some time here and do the math. may be cheaper, may be about the same….

hard to compare an off road capable vehicle to a tenny bopper economy car though as a direct comparison. sounds as if you bought the wrong vehicle initially.
the tc would save you alot in fuel cost but they’re not as much fun as a wrangler
no question sciont/c has better mpg on sticker and in life, besides wrangler sucks
hell yeah….the jeep i think gives you a very low mpg and getting a tC would save your money on gas alot…so good luck!!
I drive a tc, I get about 200 miles to a half tank. I love my car. I only have to fill it up about once a week, maybe once every week and a half.
While the 4cyl or 6 jeep wrangler gets an average of 23 MPG the Scion gets 28 in city and 34 on highway.
Depends, did you buy the jeep for offroad use, or do you live in an area where you get snow? If not then you probably don’t need a Jeep. If you get a lot of snow you will want to keep the jeep for winter months or the occasional offroad trips.
