Will keeping your A/C on low fan speed save more gas than full blast?
Previously some cars had a green “econo” mode button A/C control button which was supposed to save gas. Is there any way to economize fuel without shutting the A/C totally off?

No. The economy button would simply shut off the compressor which shuts the AC completely off. Good news is, according to consumer reports testing, the a/c only worsens your gas mileage by about 1%. Considering that when you are comfortable you are more alert and drive more safely, it is well worth the extra 1% usage.
No it does not matter when the AC is on that is one more thing that the engine has to turn so it makes no difference because the fan motor is electric and does not effect the power draw on the engine.
The fan speed shouldn’t make any difference. Using vent, instead of A/C will help. As will turning the A/C to low. In all depends what options you have in your vehicle. It’s the compressor that uses gas, not the fan….so anything you can do to make the compressor not work as hard in turn will save gas.
No. It takes more gas to run the A/C because the compressor kicks on and it puts more pull on the engine because it is run by a belt. Turning the fan speed on low will not save any gas because the compressor will still be running.
It would be better to do the opposite and turn the A/C all the way up as it costs just as much gas low or high, and allow it to get cold in the car then turn off the A/C until you need it again.
That is the only way I could think to save gas and still use A/C.
Not really, but raising the temp will
Yes, you can turn the AC off, but you will have to check to owners manual to see what settings don’t run the compressor. Some cars have an AC button that switches it on and off. Also, some cars automatically run the AC when the defroster is on. If the AC compressor is running the fan speed doesn’t change the fuel consumption.
Run the A/C on normal or bi-level. keep the fan on the lowest setting that you are comfortable with. Park your car in the shade whenever possible.
no
Nope. If your A/C is on, then the compressor is spinning. It doesn’t matter what speed your fan is set on. Try having some sort of mod chip installed in the ECU, there’s probably one that will increase your fuel economy all around and give you a little more power all at the same time.
The fan works off of electricity, the fan speed has nothing to do with gas mileage.
nope as long as the compressor is on u are loosing the same gas milage
