Why are the dems so angry about gas prices?

All Americans are! You missed Obama’s point. people can adjust if little by little.

Because nobody likes high gas prices. This is just the hard way of weaning ourselves off of petroleum.

The liberals want higher gas prices. It slows down American progress.

They would like to turn us in to a nation of homosexual Marxist Amish.

I’m a liberal democrat and I’m fine with it. Not only is it a display of a working capitalist system, but I made a personal choice two years ago to live as petroleum free as possible. I’ve never been happier for making such a liberal life choice.

Hey they stopped the drilling and therefore they raised the prices by restricting supply, I hope the fall back in it.

Americans in general are angry about high gas prices. however, my hopes are that this will speed up the research and development, and mass production of alternative fuel vehicles such as Hydrogen.

Obama needs to stop flying and start getting driven across country in a Hybrid to help us conserve gas.
I know he will because he stands by what he says.

i’m not angry. i look forward to $7 next spring, possibly $10 by fall. i can almost smell the fresh clean air. almost, but not yet.

Perhaps it’s because no matter how much we try to “conserve”, we still feel the pinch! Some of us have to drive to get to work, since not all of us have access to good public transportation systems!

I’m not angry. I use public transportation and when I need to drive, I use my Prius. No anger here.

I’m just laughing at all the Republican SUV drivers who are complaining about the high price of gas, when they knew all along that they were buying gas-guzzlers and that the price wasn’t going to stay low forever.

Since most liberals are educated and therfore have good paying jobs, I think you are being a bit silly and as out of touch with your country as your master is.

I actually hope gas goes up another two dollars/gallon, we need to be taught some humility when this all saidand done.

We should be driving less, we should be conserving. Wake up. That’s not a Democrat thing. Even Republicans are trying to conserve. Some people will say anything to discredit Obama.

I think it is the public on the whole that is a bit pissed. But from all the RVs, huge land yachts and big trucks pulling boats, I saw heading for the mountains this weekend. They aren’t that angry.

They haven’t learned, the more you expectr from govenment the more disappointed you will be.

The democrats arent angry, they have to pretend they are to make it look like they care.

Dont get me wrong, both the left and the right are severly messed up, but the democratic majority are the ones who have ruined this country and continue to choke us of our freedoms.

Kathy Bates (Democrats) continues to cripple James Caan (America), by taking a sledgehammer (taxes and cutting us off from our own resources) to his ankles (oil, aka lifeblood of our country), so she can “nurse” him back to health.

America is Misery right now (and that pun works on all sorts of levels).

The democrats need high gas prices, they need crisis, they need control, so they can come in a “nurse” us to health, through goverment spending, goverment programs, and control. The same goverment that ruined Social Security, and Medicare. They dont care about the economy, people, or the price of gas. They care about their agenda, and their pocket books, simple as that.

They pull the oil executives and put them on trial, as if it’s there fault – when the goverment is the one taxing them 15%. Only 5% profit goes to the oil companies. So called “big oil” doesnt exist in this day and age, its “Big Goverment” that is ruining the country. Financial institutions (banks) and cigarette companies like Marlboro make up to 20% profit but I dont see anyone complaning about “Big Cigs” and “Big Banks.”

For those who say that the price of oil is high, and dont realize the reason why, they need to go back to middle school economics class and re-learn supply and demand.

Oil price (i.e. gas prices) are based on the FUTURE. We are dependent on foreign oil, currently have no control over our supply, and fall victim to rising prices.

Once we are able to supply our own, the prices will drop and drop fast. Of course the left says it will take “years and years” but the price NOW is based on what it will be in years to come (contracts, supplies, etc.) so dont listen. Even foriegn oil is going to sh*t a brick once we start drilling because think about how much money they will lose out on.

It’s even more absurd to think that taxing more is going to do anything about supplying one drop of gas, or lowering the price one penny. Oil companies have record profits, because of record prices – something they have no control over.

Dont assume that they’re “angry” about gas prices, they love it, that want more increases so they can fund public transportation systems. They’re looking to cripple the ecomony and country, to control it completely. They cant even run a profitable cafeteria and they want to run the country’s healthcare system… and every aspect of your life.
