Why are high efficient fuel vehicles ugly?
I don’t understand the design of high efficient fuel vehicles.
I think the concept is great (saving money on gas) but why do they (automakers) design them ugly? I mean, the whole futuristic look is totally a turn-off. It just looks cheap, ugly, and unrealistic to drive or even boast about. I know saving money on fuel is imperative to some but style is important, too.
Is this just the look towards the future or what? I know cars develop over time with shape, etc. but it seems a bit weird to me.
Don’t they realize their cars would sell more if it were styled in a better way?

the idea is they produce less wind drag, but hell do they look ugly for it! i am willing to sacrifice extra fuel for some style. where i live in Australia its still very rare to see any hybrids, most people still get around in there Ford Falcons (4.0lt straight 6) or Holden Commodores (3.6lt v6)
it has to do with wind resistance
