Deal with a damn minivan… is your image that important?
SUVs are the most poorly made vehicles and they suck gas like its going out of style (fyi… IT IS)
grrr, i hate you people.
A Tahoe can average at 14-16mpg (depending on the year and how heavy your right foot is…) and that is about as much as you can realisticly expect from an suv that has acceptable room for 3 rows. It (like all other suv’s) is less convenient to get in and out of for anyone getting in the back compared to a minivan in tight parking places (sliding doors are better than swinging doors there). The suv gets about 2-4mpg less than a minivan, which is considerable when you are driving around town every day.
I don’t know why you don’t want a minivan, but if you are concerned about gas mileage an suv is not a very good option for 3 rows of seating.

Well if you are willing (and able) to to pay for the extra gas an suv will be using, then the choice is really up to you (a minivan will not make you look any older). You can save $50 a month with a minivan and use that towards a nice dinner or something.
