I’m hurting financially and I am considering this option. Maybe a 50-50 mix of gas and water.

Keeping your tires properly inflated and aligned can increase gas mileage up to three percent.

No don’t do that. Water in your gasoline will make your engine stall, and it’ll never run right. WATER DON’T BURN.
you would be hurting more finacially because you would be replacing your motor and gas system including your tank, pump and fuel injection system. just pay the 3.00 a gallon and drive less.
Ha. bad bad bad idea. ill make it short. Your car would stall out after about 2 min then you would have to empty the tank and then your out the money you did pay for gass
Gasoline and water don’t mix… You might save money that way though by blowing up your engine and then not being able to drive…
ah no, not a good idea. water does not burn and mechanics charge a lot of money to flush a fuel system of non combustible materials. By definition, internal combustion engines run on combustible fuels. Firemen put out fires with water. See where I am going with this?
Not a good idea. Maybe you can try car pooling or public transportation if available or ride sharing
we saw it happen. pretty boring initially when the bike just stopped. on the plus side, it did cause a fight which lasted a week.
Depending on the age of the car, which I am assuming is a newer model ,which is probably fuel injected, the only thing that you will end up with is a bad motor. Now if it is an old carbureted engine, there is a few companies out there that make a water injection kit. Basically it sprays a little water in with the fuel and takes up the space that the fuel would have therefore you use less fuel and your milage goes up. This will not work on a fuel injected motor.
Water and gasoline does not work. If you put water in your gasoline tank. Kiss that car goodbye. You would have to remove the entire fuel delivery system. Tank, sending unit, pump, filter, intake, injectors, not to mention rebuild the engine.
go ahead brain child–try it, you will soon be walking with an engine that is toast.
messing it up and u can cause trouble. I know the feeling about being broke. fill the car up and try not to go out as much. I have been staying home alot because gas is so high. I know it is boring but sometimes u have to do these things by staying close to home.
Here it is.
I will tell you one thing. If you are hurting that bad to think such a silly idea,I would walk because if you try this you will be walking anyway.
