I mean they could use other things like milk, or veggie oil like they are making the veggie oil powered cars now or even more electric and solar powered cars that would help save gas and natural resources.

see teslamotors.com for your answer. This car runs on straight battery power with no oil or gas for combustion fueling.

Go with veggie oil or ethanol it is just a regular diesel engine for veggie and regular gas engine with a couple gasket changes for ethanol. The electric cars generate a lot of toxic waste the batteries only last about 80,000 miles. The waste from these batteries is much worse than anything that comes from the tailpipe of a fuel burning car. It takes over 150,000 miles for a Prius to become overall cleaner than a Hummer H2, when you account for the disposal of the batteries and extra energy and pollution generated in production. Veggie oil and ethanol are the best alternative energies for cars and trucks today.

And for all those that talk about the fossil fuels burned in producing it we need to start getting are electricity from solar, hydro, wind, geo thermal, sources and use that to make the ethanol.

Forget car engines (all of them contaminate the environment) and start thinking about vehicles that use battery powered electric motors – in other words, Electric Vehicles. They are far less complex, much less expensive to operate, way less to maintain, and are good for our atmosphere.

You’ve already answered your question with your question. My friend and I recently converted his 2008 Corvette with a device which converts water to hydrogen gas. There was no loss in horse power.Once the hydrogen gas is burned in the engine it converts back to water. There are 0 emissions. The best part is you can easily and inexpensively make this conversion yourself. It’s not practical to use ethanol because, its made from corn. You would have to grow a heck of a lot of corn to fuel hundreds of millions of cars on the roads all over the world today. Not to mention it’s a waste of corn which can be used to help with the world’s food shortage situation.Using food for fuel is just not practical.
