55 is where they usually put the “sweet spot”
Each car for each condition is going to be a little different. But generally speaking 45-55 is where you get your best mileage.
Depends on the transmition and gear ratio of the vehicle. But for your car I would travel the speedlimit. Gas savings is one thing but safety is a better thing to think about.
Just go the speed limit. That is what is required. (As you know, going too slow can cause accident. I am like member of fire dept/rescue squad.) If there were more than one freeway to take, the 50 or 55 would be the most efficient, as far as fuel.
In addition to that, use the raod that have the least stop and go traffic.
It’s not speed you should be looking at, RPM is.
The lower RPM – the less gas being used! Simple as that
