What options do I have for increasing the mpg of a 96 Nissan Hardbody Std XE 4cy 2.4l pickup truck?
It is in pretty good condition and the fluids are changed regularly. It currently gets around 25-30mpg hwy and 23-25mpg city. I am interested in getting better gas mileage so that I can save money. Would a cold-air intake work w/ this type of truck for increasing mpg. What other options are there for increasing the gas mileage. I am not interested in any of those gasoline mix-ins. I prefer a solution that would be mechanically added to the truck.

You could do a cold-air intake, header, performance exhaust, and some type of air fuel controller(piggy back e.c.u.) though it might cost you more money to do all of this than it’s really worth.
Your current consumption is perfectly normal for this vehicle. You might get another mile or so by dumping hundreds into it but it may not be feasable.
