what kind of gas/fuel should i use to braze?
i am new to metal working. need to know what kind of fuel to use on brazing rods to get the appropriate results. Mapp, propane, butane???? and i have heard of others. in the section of the store that i picked up the rods there are several that “might” work but i don’t want to burn through money faster than the fuel. just a newbie trying to save a couple of bucks instead of doing the trial and error method. thanks.
thanks randy. i bought a small bottle of mapp and a torch nozzle from lowes but it wouldn’t stay lit and wouldn’t melt the braze. i think the nozzle was made only for propane….????
