what is your opinion on hybrid vehicle?
do you think it really saves your money on gasoline? or will it possibly spend more money to replace the battery, repair, etc?
honestly i dont care much about the environment but my only concern is if it can truly be more economic and efficient way to save money than regular non-hybrid cars.

Hybrids…..??
Not up to par yet.
There aren’t too many places that will work on them.
They cost a lot to buy.
The resale value is too low.
In five years, i might consider buying one. But not yet.
The only way they will save you money is if you drive more stop and go then highway miles. Dont buy a Ford Hybrid, they are using technology that Toyota has been using for years. I would say if you do buy one Toyota is the only way I would go. And I am a die hard ford fan just not with Hybrids.

They’re a waste. they don’t even get that good of mileage, they’re just talked about on TV more because they’re new. A prius only gets about 42mpg, whereas you could get a VW Jetta diesel auto that gets 45mpg, or stick that gets 52mpg. Diesels get a bad rap these days because the reeeeeeeealy old one’s exhaust smelled bad (even though they still got better mileage), but nowadays they only sell ultra-low sulfur diesel at the stations (as mandated by law), and the emissions standards are much improved, especially since jan 2007.
I would never buy a hybrid. Too complicated and too expensive to buy, fix, and don’t even give the mileage improvements that the hype promises.
