What is the difference between the years of Suzuki Hayabusa.?
What are the year splits with the model changes of the Suzuki Hayabusa?
What is the difference between each of the years?
I am looking at buying a used Hayabusa for drag race purposes and I am trying to find the best year for my dollar. Example: If 01 is the same as an 05 then I could save a lot of money by buying the 01 if I am getting the same bike. I also am looking for a fuel injected one.
Thanks for the info.

Comments on What is the difference between the years of Suzuki Hayabusa.?
i think the fastest hayabusas where in 2000-2001, then they had then retuned for a lower speed limit, after that, but yes, the newest haybusa seems to be lasts years 07 or this years, i really cannot remember, but it should be fuel injected after the year 2000.

is a quick answer to the variations
All Busa’s, even the first one in ’99, are fuel injected. The 99 and 2000 models were not restricted and would run over 190 mph. Starting in 2001 the Busa was restricted to 186 mph. But this is easily by passed. In 04 Suzuki added the Pass button which flashes the hi beams. In 05 they stopped putting Suzuki on the tank and replaced it with the Suzuki “S”. For your purpose, drag racing, ’99-07 models are basically the same. In 2008 the body work changed a little and the motor gained 40 more cc’s and the compression went up from 11:1 to 12.5:1.
If you are going to drag one then you need to start looking for suppliers for all of the stuff that breaks there are pages of it.
Theyre all the same until 08, aside from color and a ECU that limited top speed in 6th gear from the original, a yellow box will easily fix that. The 08 was substantially redesigned.
