Try to use the pedals less and press softer when you do.
Lighten it as much as can, keep tires inflated proper, check oil, air filter, gas filter. or get tune up. Dont speed. Fill up early day or evenings and dont let tank get too low.
if you dont already, do the speed limit. you will be amazed at the difference.
Do not use the ac, roll up your windows, take all unnecessary things out of your car that makes it weigh more causing you to burn more gas, like take out the cushions. i have a 14 year old bmw 318i
i make it as light as possible
ride a bike
tune it up , change the filters and the plugs. and use ngk plugs
