What is the best way to save gas in my truck?
I have a 99 fors 250 v10. I get on average 11 miles to the gallon. and that is killing my savings account. What can i put in it to save on gas. even just a little bit helps. i have a flowmaster 40 series on it already and i am thinking about getting a fuel chip.. any suggestions?

Get rid of the truck and get a Ford Focus. They get over 30 miles a gallon.
When you’re on the freeway stick at 65. Don’t go any fast. Also when taking off from a stop ease on the gas. The hasrder you press the pedal the more gas your truk will drink
empty the bed. Don’t carry anything that is unecessary. Put a tonneau cover on the bed. BUT, even if you optimize everything, you shouldn’t expect more than 10% improvement, if that. So you would get about 12-13 MPG. That is still going to drain your wallet quickly. Best bet is to sell the truck and get a car.
What we do is when we have errands or trips that don’t require a big vehicle, we take a small car. Sorry, that doesn’t help much if most of your work involves hauling big loads, but I think the gas mileage is part of the normal expense of being able to do that. Maybe you could keep a bicycle, moped or small motorcycle in the bed for side trips to cut down on driving the truck.
