Take it easy on the accelerator if you have a manual trans, put it on neutral after gaining some speed or before a light.
The way you drive it will determine how much MPG you get out of it, and also if your doing the proper maintenance.
find short cuts and make every trip valuable. Kill 2 birds with one stone so-to-speak. Also, park car at trolly stations and catch trolly and drive home.
Try not driving during rush hour as you will be sitting in traffic.Even if you have to sit in a coffee shop.
Never raise your car when not driving, Just start that’s all.Even when driving come to lower gear with out gasing and when on a higher gear do not raise unnecessarily.
If you do want to drive, get a tomtom go 720 GPS system. It will give you the most economical and fuel efficient route to your destination.
Carpool with several other people who are commuting to the same general area in town, and make them pay for your gas!
