Change your oil. Clean oil reduces wear caused by friction between moving parts and removes harmful substances from the engine. You can improve your gas mileage by using the grade of motor oil in your owner’s manual and changing it according to the schedule recommended by your car manufacturer. Motor oil that says “Energy Conserving” on the performance symbol of the American Petroleum Institute contains friction-reducing additives that can improve fuel economy.

Walk!
keep your car well mantaned you will git better gas mileage and your car will last longer
Buy a Toyota Prius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the best way to keep up is make sure all the liquids in your car are good, keep up on changing the oil every 3000 miles, possibly a tune up, new spark plugs, wires, air filter and fuel filter. check the tire pressure every other week. i hope i have helped out, good luck
Just make sure that the car it tuned up…tires properly inflated….slower starts at traffic lights and stop signs…and just avoid revving the engine too much…whenever possible.
Don’t accelerate quickly. Don’t brake suddenly. If you experienced, put the car in neutral when going down hills. Take things out of your car that you don’t need all the time, such as golf clubs or boxes of files. The lighter the car the better.
A few things you can do….don’t stomp on the accelerator….ease into it from a stop…..Do a little under the speed limit….ensure your car is tuned up on a regular basis…change the spark plugs….change the air filter….in other words keep up with the routine maintenance.
You not going to like this; stay at home, walk, get a bike, or car pool, take a buss. Get a tune up, check tire pressure, do not jack rabbit start, and let the car slow down when you know you are going to stop. when park turn off engine, and the killer, turn off air condition. and stay below the speed limit. and get rid of any exert weight in your car.
do like i do. just go when you really have to go, then back home.
MAKE SURE AIR PRESSURE IN TIRES IS CORRECT,COMBINE YOUR TRIPS, MAKE SURE AIR FILTER IS CLEAN. DRIVE SLOWER DON’T ACCELERATE HARD BE MORE OF A CRUISER
