Don’t drive it anywhere
Bestest option will be not to drive at all….lol.
Just maintain a constant speed in the highways, amke sure the gear transformations are smooth and keep the oil going in.
1. Take the bus (or train, depending on where you live)
2. If it’s a standard transmission, shift gears at a lower rpm.
3. Accelerate more slowly.
ride a bike.
If you are low on gas and gas prices are high and you know they are going to lower in the coming days only fill up the amount you need to get you through the next few days, then fill up all the way when prices drop. prices usually drop on monday and tuesday and go up on wed or thurs afternoon
Make sure your car is running properly, check your tire pressure, and drive slowly. Doing this will save a few gallons per tank. I basically think it’s not enough to be significant but what do I know.

Keep your tires inflated to the proper pressure (check this before driving the car), change your oil every 5000 miles, combine small trips into one larger trip, and accelerate gradually. Oh, and buy a Honda.
Air Filter Replacement
Fuel Filter Check
Tire Pressure Check
If it is standard Transmission shift 1-3-5
if not accelerate and keep RPMs under 2500
