What is Good, Cheap, Reliable, Winter Car or SUV?
Im 17 and have been saving my money from work for the last year to buy a new car. I live in Minnesota and am looking for something that handles well in snow, fuel efficient, and reliable. And it has to have about 100k in miles for around 7 to 8 grand. If anybody would be willing to give some suggestions on cars or SUVs that fit all of these it would be great! Thanks

Honda. Cheap. Reliable. Front wheel drive will be good in normal streetable snow, but not deep snow. 4cyl will be good on gas.
alot of nice cars going about.
If you need something that has permanent 4WD on your car – try getting a really nice jeep like a diesel BMW X3/X5
If you don’t mind temporary 4WD then a Honda CRV is very valuable! it has FF drive but 4WD if it goes out of control.
I would seriously have a look about before you get a car/suv…make sure that the car has a good histroy and etc.
A Subaru or Audi would be a good bet. They both are usually equipped with all-wheel drive and have four-cylinder engines. Not only that, but they are among the safest cars I know of in the snow next to a four-wheel drive Jeep Cherokee.
Subaru impreza (non wrx). Rock solid car (insurance cheaper than a wrx). Actually anything with subaru awd is going to be pretty good in the snow. Or get a truck if you feel you want something heavier. No clue on what truck to buy…probably something ford.
Good in snow, around 8000 dollars? Two ways to go : #1) mid-90′s Mitsubishi eclipse gsx, all wheel drive. Fast and sporty, great all wheel drive. Newer car-#2) Subaru outback. All wheel drive, not much to look at, but test drive one before you say no way ! These little cars are GOD’s own go-carts ! They go 0-60 in six seconds flat, fast enough to eat most camaros and mustangs, even the v8 models ! Plus, they have full time all wheel drive for good footing and don’t get stuck easily ! (if at all !) And, they do not fall into the sports car bracketing for insurance, a win-win-win !
cheap and reliable should not be used in the same sentance.
You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
