They are probably quieter.
They tend to have more torque when they first start going. For example the new Honda Ridgeline has max torque at 1000 rpm’s, when say a full size diesel chevy has max torque at about 2500-3000 rpms. But for most they are good on gas and pollution.
First, you are asking a question based completely on fallacy- electric cars pollute, they just displace it from the car to the power plant. Also, they do not save money because they are considerably less fuel efficient than internal combustion engine vehicles (look up the costs per mile).
Second to answer the question why to drive one- it makes liberal tree hugging morons feel “good” about their moral superiority over everyone else because they “care more” about the environment than everyone else.
electric can come from solar energy gas is made of oil and if people use gas powered cars earth might run out of oil and solar power can keep on going
