What is a lope idol on a diesel truck?
I know it’s when the engine sounds almost like its coughing. But is it being starved of fuel or something different? And whats the purpose…to save fuel or to just sound cool?

most of the time you will have a lope because the tail shaft on the low idol governor is bent I have never heard of any one doing this on purpose
This is a tune you can have added to a chip. All it is doing is changing the timing and fuel delivery. And judging by the puffs of smoke, I would say its getting enough fuel.
I’m not sure if this tune is for show or actual performance usage.
