What if we took one gas company per month to boycott?
Think about it…boycott Exxon/Mobile in June, Texaco/Shell in July, BP in August and Sunoco in September. Then, do everything we can to save fuel – buy efficient cars, use public transportation, join/form carpools.
This way, I believe the companies will feel the impact, and we will also help by being wise and conservative. Does this make sense to you?
If this makes sense to you and you are resourceful, communicative, connected and ambitious, make such a boycott and conservation effort spread across the land.

It makes no sense. You obviously do not understand the distribution system, or the wholesale trading system. If one company cannot sell any gas at their station, they will simply wholesale it to another, who is going to have increased sales anyway, due to the boycott of the other company.
In short, you are going to buy the same amount of gas, simply from a different pump, but it will be the same gas. No net effect.
You probably haven’t got a job
You probably haven’t got kids
You probably haven’t got bills to pay.
I would presume from your immature and amateur question that you really don’t understand how oil makes the world go around.
On a different note, have you ever used public transport and arrived to work late constantly? No, because like I said you probably don’t have a job to get to. Same as you don’t have kids as you would realise why having a car is really neccessary.
Try getting a bit of life experience in the real world first and then see how your lovely and idealistic opinions change afterwards.
