what conserves more gas, turning off ur car or leaving it on when U know U will be at a stop 4 a long time?
I’ve heard that turning the car off and on again takes up more gas then the gas spent just leaving the car on (at a long stop).

turn it off, the new hybrids turn off when at a stop and use electric at slow speeds that’s why they get great mpg.
How long are you stopped? If you are not sitting for more than 1 minute then do not turn off the engine. If longer then it can save gas.
It’s better to leave the car on than to constantly start and stop the car. Starting a car takes up a lot of fuel to start the combustion engine, and likewise moving the car also uses up fuel to keep the car in motion. Just keeping the engine idling away actually does not take up that much fuel.
Turn it off. Older models (carburettor) used as much gas to start the engine, as it did to drive a mile.
Newer models do not.
leave it on……if u stop it and start it 50 times a day u will kill your starter
The only time you will burn more gasoline is when your Idle RPM’s are higher than normal as in Winter warming up and your Summer AC is on. But truly only non-combustible diesel engines have to stay running.
