What are YOU doing because of rising fuel costs? What changes are you making?
I drive a gas pig – So I drive to work, and I drive home and that’s IT. I walk everywhere at lunchtime. I estimate I save 40 miles alone at lunchtime. Unfortunately, I work about 7 miles from home and I have to wear “dress business attire” so the bicycle thing would not work, nor could I walk.
What is everyone else doing?

my credit card bills are going up, and I’m crying a bit more.
Unfortunately, I haven’t changed anything. I have a long ride to work on the highway. I live far from church and even farther from my mother, who I like to visit from time to time. So my gas spending is high. Arg!
My husband and three co-workers have started car pooling, although they have to wake up earlier to do so. I have started planning my trips to the store much more thoroughly. If I can’t get it in the town we live in (small town) then I try to have it delivered online through the mail. My in-laws have also started bicycling everywhere.
Nothing. I drive more. I bought my 50mpg 1999 Chevy Metro a couple years ago and it is pleasure to drive. If gas was $5 a gallon, I would still drive normal, but I would have to start locking it so no one would steal it!
BUT, I don’t drive my F250 pickup as often – gets 18mpg on a good day.
