Ride a bike or walk to places that are close.
take the bus
take a bike on short journeys instead of driving un neciserily
Gas efficiency slows after going 50 mph, so if its an option, always try to leave early and drive slower. Not only will you save on gas, it’s safer for you and the other drivers on the road. Also, if you commute to work, its ALWAYS a great idea to carpool. You’ll save on gas, make friends with fellow , and you’ll be less likely to late to work….which is always a good thing
Also, you can use public transportation or walk/bicycle to where ever you need to go – its great for the environment and also great for your body. Hope this helped!
Seriously, most gas stations raise their rates slightly the day before the largest industry/employer’s pay day – usually a Thursday or a Friday. No kidding! Other than that, take the bus (it’s not so bad, trust me, I’ve done it with three little kids in tow and they think it’s a blast). Try parking farther away from work (or park even farther and bike the rest of the way if it’s do-able). Streamline your errands so you do all your driving at once. Plan your route on a map beforehand to avoid driving in circles. Obey the speed limit – the faster you go the less efficient your engine runs. Keep your car stringently maintained. A healthy engine burns gas much more efficiently. Car pool, drive a hybrid, use all available public transportation. Even if you use public transit for only a third of the times you would use a car, you’re saving on gas big time. The list is endless!
walk! duh
take the bus
get rid of an SUV if you have one. Get a hybrid car. They’re more expensive, but they get like 50 miles to the gallon.
