What are some ways for me to save fuel when driving?

1. Switch off the engine at traffic lights
2. Drive at slower speeds. Ie – 60kmph

Try not to mash your foot down on the accelerator, drive the speed limit, coast up to stops rather than keeping the same speed right up to the end and then braking hard(this also saves on brakes), turning off the car when sitting @ red lights. When I started doing these things, my efficiency went up 15%.

Also keeping the car tuned up, the tires inflated to the proper psi, limiting A/C use and keeping the windows rolled up can help.

use cruise control when able and stay at speed limit.

1 tire pressure correct

You have some good tips so far. You might consider 3 categories for fuel saving tips:

1. Obtain cheaper fuel: some are attempting to change the fuel their car used by adapting the engine to compressed natural gas, electric or other fuels. Often this requires some local incentives to help with the initial expense of conversion In the case of electric vehicles even if the fuel is more expensive the vehicle is so efficient that it is economical

2. Change your vehicle. This may also include a change in fuel but vehicles that are more aerodynamic, lighter, smaller, turn off when stopped and/or have some form of regenerative braking will be more economical

3 Use hypermiling techniques: There are hundreds of these techniques the websites below will list lots of them. Some depend upon the type of vehicle you are driving.
