What are reccommended driving habits to save gas on cars?
I have a 2000 Mercury Cougar and it’s kind of heavy on gas. Is there anything i should do or a certain way to drive to conserve gas on the car?

Dont accelerate extremely fast at stop lights and stop signs and things. Its hard to save on gas, but you could also like turn your car off while youre eating at sonic and running into kroger or waiting for your friends in their driveway etc!
drive like you have an egg under the gas petal
When the light turns red and you’re far away, don’t just keep on the gas. Look behind you and watch the cars behind you and check and see if they will slow down. Get off the gas, and begin slowing down as early as possible. If you don’t have to stop, you save gas because you don’t have to accelerate, but be safe. You don’t want to get rear ended, so make sure the guy behind you is slowing down. There are lots of people who don’t look pay very much attention. This also makes other drivers unhappy, so I don’t really recommend it unless you don’t really care about the other peoples’ feelings. Good luck, and stay safe!
