Thinking of buying a 49cc scooter to save money on gas. Should I just get a class M license instead?

I am thinking of buying a 49cc scooter to save money on gas. Should I pony up a little extra money/time just to get my Class M license so I have more options? Pro’s and Con’s people.

49cc is not enough to be safe. you cannot travel at the traffics’ speed. mileage is still very good even for most 90/100cc 4st motors, and for commuting, a 250cc in min practical.

This depends on the state. In some of them, you are required to have a license even for 49cc…
