1. Don’t accelerate fast
2. Consolidate all your weekly trips into as few trips as you can
3. Keep up on maintenance, especially things that can have a decent effect on gas mileage. Usually things like: fuel filter, air filter, O2 sensors, spark plugs, tire pressure, etc.
4. Speeds over 60mph drastically reduce gas mileage, so keeping it at 60 is great for gas, for most cars there’s a “sweet spot” for gas mileage which is right around 55mph. If 60 is too slow, try 70 at most.
5. Use cruise control on long (and flat) roads, it can save you some gas since the car controls its own speed, don’t use it on hills though.
6. While on the streets, roll your windows down and keep the A/C off, when on the highway turn the AC on and keep the windows closed.
I do all of these and i’ve seen a really good increase in my gas mileage. In fact just driving 55mph for my highway commutes yields about 50 more miles on a tank for my car. I stay around that speed anyways because i live in CA and with the traffic here i rarely get over 65 anyways.
Buy a bus/train pass and use it to go to work whenever possible.
Maybe split driving and public transport 50/50 or go all the way with public transport were you can and the use the car where the bus or train doesn’t go.
nitrogen, instead of air in your tires improves fuel efficiency,in 5 years nitrogen will be o.e. from the dealers, some auto places are already buying the equipment, call around, and yes a “tuneup” improves your gas mileage
take all the heavy things off the car like golf club and dint go really fast and try to stay on the road not on the mountain
Walking will work or just dont drive as much. Just to the places that you really need to go to.
Walk
RIDE YO BICYCLE
dont use the car so much
