The gas cap on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser states that I should only use premium fuel but in this time of rising gas prices, I wonder prefer to save the 20-30 cents per gallon and use the regular fuel. Will this cause any issues with performance, lesson the miles I get per gallon, or worsen the effect my emissions have on the environment? Answering that I should have bought a hybrid car doesn’t count!

My 100,000+ miles Sundance made a *clunk* sound and then dropped a puddle of oil and gas when I started it recently (it’s had a small oil leak for years) . Can this be fixed? Should it be fixed or is it time for it to go to the “farm”? Thanks!

I want to go green to save money & the environment but what’s the point if it’s going to cost me MORE money?
So is this true? Also, I’ll be living in Chicago where gas is higher than the National Average.
With gas prices well on their way past $4 per gallon, you’re probably cursing that thirsty SUV or turbocharged roadster in the driveway. But would purchasing a more fuel- efficient car actually be worth it? We’ve simplified things and done the math for you — but the answer is far from simple.
Because hybrids cost more than gasoline-powered models, it’s not necessarily cost- effective to buy one, even when taking into account the money you’ll save on gas. But, if fuel costs continue to rise, the gas savings will make up the price difference — right? And what about conventional gasoline-powered models…is it worth it to go for the smaller, fuel-efficient vehicle instead of the one you have your heart set on? Keep reading to find out.
