I have been considering spending money to buy a fuel additive to increase my mpg and hopefully as an end result help me save money on gas. I am leery to start buying tablets though as it is an added expense in itself. Does anyone have any experience with diesel fuel additives? If so, can you recommend one that works?

I read about taking a glass mason jar and running some gas vapor through it (through some copper coated BB’s) and to the manifold? Also read about magnets. Never tried anything, anybody have good/bad experience? What ever happened to the 100 mile per gallon carburator stories?

Yes, it works for me.
I can sometimes squeeze 3.7 MPG out of my van by being careful on how fast I start out, how heavy my foot is and decelerating to a stop when ever possible.

Okay, I’ve heard this both ways but am wondering what you think…..people have told me the best way to conserve energy/natural gas is to:
1. Keep your thermostat at the same temperature ALL the time.
2. Turn your thermostat up during night time hours and turn it off completely during the day when you are not home.
I’m just wondering since it is getting colder and I would like to save a little money if at all possible. Thanks!
