Most of them claim that they will save fuel, lower exhaust emmissions, clean engine and increase performance. But are they really good? If thery are so good why big oil companies do not put them in the fuels they sell to public?

This product claims a significant gas savings. You put it in your air intake between the air filter and the fuel injectors. I would like to find if someone has used it and what their experience has been.

Get your car a tune-up…that’s the quickest and easiest way. Make sure everything is in working order. Make sure your oil is good, and make sure things like your air, oil and fuel filters are clear of any garbage. Check your tire pressures, and fill them to recommended levels. Even though it’s minimal, try and save yourself from using your A/C too much. The effect of turning that off (there’s a clutch that engages, and takes power from the engine to turn the air compressor) might be negated by the lost aerodynamics of opening all of your windows though…I wonder if anyone ever studied that? You should also turn the A/C off before you turn yuor car off as well…it’s just one extra thing for the starter to spin when you start the car up again.
The best thing is to try not to be a lead foot. Don’t smash the gas petal at greeen lights, don’t speed like a mad-man, etc.
Finally…ignore anything that claims to give you better gas mileage, i.e. fuel treatment, high-flow air filters, that “Tornado” thing…if they worked, the manufacturers would’ve installed them themselves.

I am looking to spend a little money on any gas saving inventions that are proven to work. I pay about 60 dollars a week in gas and so i figured if I paid around $2000 for a gas saving invention that would increase my mileage by about 50 percent I could make my money back fast especially if it gets more but i am willing to work with whatever because any significant increase will pay for itself in no time.
Let me know
thanks

I just bought a 2003 Kia Sorento. Great car, I practically stole it off the lot, but the mileage sucks. I was looking for accessories on EBay and saw something about a Fuel Saving Module that is guaranteed to save me 5 to 10 mpg by changing the fuel/air injection to a leaner ratio. Do these chips work? Is there a long term detriment to the engine or fuel injectors?

This is a proven SCAM, even though many people are in denial about it or should I say desperate for it to be true.
The energy required to separate the water into Hydrogen and Oxygen is more than the energy you can get back out of it when you burn it in your engine.
In other words, the drag on your alternator will lower the mileage more than burning the HHO gas will gain mileage.
Anybody claiming better mileage is probably running their engine too lean and will pay for it in the future with expensive repairs.

Actually, as gas prices rise, the ROI on the so-called “hybrid premium”, or extra cost for buying a hybrid, is down to about two years for the average driver. Cars like the Prius also have excellent resale value and low maintenance costs, so the Prius is a great way to save money in the long term!
The basic way hybrids work is having a second electric motor in addition to the gas engine to start the car moving and sometimes supplement the gas engine depending on the type of hybrid.
The electric motor gets its power from batteries which are recharged every time you brake/slow down. In a nutshell, braking engages a generator that collects energy from your deceleration instead of just losing it to brake pad friction like most cars.
There are other, more in depth tricks that hybrids like the Prius use, like turning the gas engine off when you stop, increasing aerodynamic efficiency through unique shapes and cutting down on the car’s weight by doing things like using a fuel bladder instead of a fuel tank, but the basics have to do with the electric motor and regenerative braking.
