One mechanic told me that the 97+ Montana or Ventura is the best van for the money. Somone else said that the Astro or Safari is more rugged like a truck, but I dont know if it is as good on gas.

Is it better to buy from an individual in a private sale generally, or better to go to a used car/ van dealer ? Are used vehicles generally less expensive to purchase in Quebec than in Ontario ? How about the Maratimes ?

I’ve been driving my Dodge Mini-Caravan for 13 years, and put in a second transmission and second engine. I do store to store sales, and drive thousands of kms during 8 months of the year. I took the seats out and created a second level in the van so that I can sleep and avoid expensive motel costs, while keeping supplies under the plywood board suported by milk crates.A motor home would be most comfortable, but too expensive on gas. Im trying to save for a small home, so my van will be my home for the next few years. Ive liked the feel of the Caravan but dont know others

I have a limited knowledge of Hydrogen, but have done some reading on how to build a hyd. gen. that can be put into the trunk of your car. Run on water, and take the H20 and make it HH0, burn the gas in the engine and save a lot of money on fuel for myself and the world.

Problems I see, pressure, rate of use and comsumion, anount of hyd. needed per hour on a trip, etc.

is their any first hand help out their?

There is a lot of debate about MPG ratings of cars but I have not seen anything which looks at the actual fuel used that takes into account the reduced time it takes if you go faster.
If I drove a car at 60mph for 60 miles it would take 60 minutes to complete the distance.
If I drove the same car at 90mph for 60 miles it would only take 40 minutes to complete.
Does the saving of 20 minutes driving time mean that driving at 90mph actually uses less fuel overall (despite the higher MPG usage) or does driving at 60mph use less fuel despite it taking longer?

I have come accross many sites talking about a simple anyone can do water hybrid that works on all gas engines to double gas mileage. It sounds too good to be true. I worry about the Brown Gas. Buying a used car? So I’m a college student and you all know how we’re all about saving the last dime.
Anyway,
So I was wondering, what is too old?
So I’m looking at this little car thinking the mileage isn’t bad at all for the year it was made, and the Honda Civic seems to have a good reputation.

So is this car too old and the mileage too much for the price?
Can it last me another 2 -3 years with out problems with proper maintanence?

Any feedback or other suggestions on other models, year make, etc., will be appreciated.

Year: 2002
Make: Honda
Model: Civic
Trim: EX
Engine: 4 Cylinder Gasoline

I’m trying to prove my case that idling in the car pool line is BAD NEWS. I’ve found a lot of data supporting that every gallon of fuel that is burned produces about 20 pounds of CO2, and even some that says we use about You use about 0.026 gallons of gasoline for every 10 minutes of idiling, but no data that suggests how much gas is burned when the A/C is on – which is our problem here in Texas. Please help save our planet and our little children’s lungs and help me answer this question!

I guess I’m looking for four cylinders. Import or domestic really doesnt matter although I’d rather have domestic. I just really want to save gas. Also if you know what kind of engine the vehicle has in it that would be nice also.
