As per title states, thecar revs at a stable 1000 rev/min on the dashboard and I’ve also noticed that I use more petrol/gas on this car than my BMW 318i!!! I know there’s a way of tweaking it’s idling but I don’t know where it is. Please advise.

I am a male teen looking for my first vehicle. I’m leaning more toward a pickup. I’m trying to decide between an old Toyota pickup or an old Chevy pickup. I know that an old Chevy will burn more fuel, but how much. All the pickups I’ve seen are 454 big blocks-Bad Gas Millage. That’s my only concern. However the Toyota is only a 4 cylinder and had low power. I would much rather have the Chevy but don’t want to pay for gas. I like going offroading a lot and the ability to tow something heavy. I just don’t think a 4 c. will cut it. Any tips?? Fuel saving secrets for Chevy??? Torque increasing for Toyota??? Which would you choose??? Note: standard vs. automatic doesn’t matter to me. I’d much rather prefer 4×4 over 2×4.

i love the toyota 06-07 rav4, and planning to buy one this summer. However, i have wondered about its fuel economy. Does anyone own a 06 or 07 rav4 and can you tell me exactly about its fuel capacity? I’m going to drive about 70 miles per day, so i really need a car that can help me save the money on gas. Thanks for any answer

I am trying to figure out if I should get a Toyota Yaris sedan or spend the extra $10,000 and get a Prius. Will the prius pay off in the long run?
This would be a second car. We are going to get the prius or the yaris.

I know it’s a Camry already, but my mileage still isn’t that great considering how much it’s supposed to get. What can I do to save gas? Also, does coasting in neutral do anything?

i would like to conserve a little more gas by putting the car on neutral & idle whenever i go downhill instead of still putting it on drive. that way, there’s little less gas used & lesser stress on the brakes.
my question is, is it also good for the transmission to drive that way? Will it affect the transmission adversely?
