I’ve heard this, but on the other hand that means you have to be driving for a longer time to go the same distance. Does what you save make much of a difference?
Hmmm….I’m not convinced either way from this thread. Anybody know for absolute sure?

so SLOW it is!.. (altough i thought it would be fast so that the car sort of glides without alot of fuel) anyway thanx ur all real helpful.. i’ll leave it for the voting

I have seen three Toyota Priuses doing about 15 mph in a 35 mph zone. Are the owners doing that deliberately to save gasoline? Is that how that car runs, fast or very slow?

I once heard someone say, to the effect of: why should we slowly use our oil in gas conserving cars/hybrids. What would really push us to develop alternative fuels is if we just burn it as quickly as possible in large SUVs.
