We all whine about petrol prices; this little car would serve many journeys although plainly not all. The Citroen 2CV and the Smart both have tiny engines and they sold well here. Are British drivers open minded enough to buy one? For starters, look what you save on price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has 173,000 miles on it. I want to sell it because I’ve saved about enough money for a newer one. It runs pretty well but needs the Fuel Injecters flushed eventually. Not sure How to price the thing.

I just recently aquired a 98 civic lx auto w/ 154000 on the clock, with absolutely zero mechanical issues, and a clean body with no damage or rust. I bought it for only 1500, way, way below book. I could sell this car right now for closer to its actual book and make $1000-$2000 or, alternately….

I drive about 30000 miles a year right now because of how far away my school is. I have an 04 honda accord v6. Case in point, I’ve had the car a little less than two years since new and already have put 48,000 on it.

I’m thinking…..
The accord gets about 24/ 25 mpg on average, whereas the civic get more like 38 mpg. If I used the civic for this next year (then I graduate) I could save on gas and keep the miles off my accord?
I would need to pay for insuring the vehicle ($104 more per year, no biggie), install a cd player (AM/FM only + 1hr+ commute, yuk) I booked the car a year older and w/ 30000 more miles, I still make $ on it. ( a little less)

Sell now or use then sell ?
I have free garaged storage available for the 2004 accord.

I recently bought a 2008 pontiac G6 GT after my 99 grand am got a hole in the head gasket, on top of that i suspect there is a sizeable chance there is a crack in the engine head, rather then risk repairing the head gasket and the intake manifold ive decided to junk it considering the chance of a cracked head.. a junk yard would give me $100 for it but id rather strip it down myself and sell the parts off of it.. however i found someone interested in buying the vehicle and using it for spare parts, which would save me the time and work of stripping the car down myself even tho i wont make as much off of it but whatever..

Here are the details: the car has 168,000 miles on it, id rate the body a 2 out of 5, it has rust beneath the drivers side door and underneath the gas cap, probably caused from dripping gasoline from the previous owners.. outside of those spots the body still can be scrapped, the rotors have barely 10,000 miles on them, the alternator was replaced at 128,000 miles, new coil springs.. so i do have usable parts on it that are relitavely new.. i could sell all 4 rims for $25 a piece as they are all in good shape… so considering the informations what would be a fair price to sell the car for?

I need to downgrade my car to a smaller car that saves HUGE gasoline. I owe the Honda $5,900. Im pondering on whether I should trade my car to a smaller car at the car dealership, have them pay for the balance I owe and drive the smaller car without paying any cents.

OR

I sell my car to an individual and get about $8K to $9K and pay off the $5,900 I owe and buy a smaller car?
My 2006 Honda Civic doesnt really save gasoline! I was looking something like 40 to 60 MPG!
Im looking for an used small car maybe in the year of 1990 to 2000.

I just recieved the following info below. Does anyone know the truth about this????
Ford produces a 1.4 diesel turbocharged diesel engine that they refuse to
sell to US consumers. The reason? The engine gets 62.8 Miles per gallon
Highway.
You can help spread this news and spread that Ford refuses to save us money,
and would rather force us to buy fuel from the Arabs.
If you want to verify, then go to…http://www.ford. co.uk/ie/ fusion/co2_ fus/co2_model_ fus_diesel/ -/-/-/-
When I contacted the Ford Motor Company, they said in essence that Americans
do not want a fuel saving car.
No, what I figure is that Ford wants to continue to build mountains with
wheels and maximize their profit margin. My guess is that they are getting
major kickbacks from the oil companies to do this.
If you help, we can send Ford a message. Quit jerking us around. Treat us

I have a 1996 honda civic with 150k miles on it. I am debating if I should sell my car and buy a new(used) car.
The reasons I want to sell it:
1)The AC dosent work, not worth fixing and it gets hot in Atlanta.
2) Has good bit of body damage that I have hammered out myself, not an vechical you would want to pick up your date in.
3) It’s not worth much right now, so I want to get what It’s worth now before the value depriciate more(Personally I think it has depreciated to it’s lowest value). I would guess it’s worth $2000 tops.
4) This car affects my personal life, people judge me, I cant really impress anyone with it.
The reasons I want to keep it:
1) It runs fine, no mechnical or engine issues
2) Gives great gas mileage, I can squeez 45MPG when I am Hypermiling.
3) Inurance is cheap, since it’s old and I have only liablity coverage.
4) This car will probably last me for another year or two before it starts giving serious problems.
So what would you do?
