Given a relatively open road, equal distance, same driving skill etc.
I have heard conflicting advice from people, some saying faster, others slower. Some say it differs on fuel type such as diesel being better slower and petrol vice versa.
I used to believe in the ‘faster theory’ (via intuition) but I’m now conficted.
NB: ignore accidents or safety or being late.

I am planning to trade my older tahoe for the newer tahoe. The reason I am considering switching to the newer tahoe is that Chevy recently came up with the fuel economy tahoes (hybrid, flexfuel). I am not really sure what the diffenece is, but I would like to know maybe the stats on both vehicles. I do some traveling with the family and some local driving, plus my wife uses to commute to work at an approximite 20 mile distance. Does anyone know a website or the answer to where I can find more information.

Also I was wondering why many other countries report fuel efficiency in gallons per mile (liters per kilometer) instead of miles per gallon (kilometers per liter). What are the advantages and disadvantages of reporting fuel efficiency in gallons per mile for a consumer interested in fuel economy?

Just wondering, would driving fast or driving slow save more gas? If you drive faster at a constant speed, you get to where your going faster..if you drive slow it takes longer but you wouldn’t be accelerating as much..I dont know, this is something I’ve been wondering for a long time.
