i went to speedy lube to get it changed and they said that they couldnt because it has two wires running into it and the fuel filter wasnt normal ( the two side are plastic and the core is meatal ) the one i got from auto zone is normal but idk how to ake it off so im asking you guys so i can save 40$ and alot of time waiting at a shop

I have a 96 Saturn SL-2. I took it to a mechaninc. He said the rings are shot on one of the cylinders and there is no compression. I have noticed my fuel cunsumption has gone up since I started having this problem. Is there anyways I can remove a fuel injector for that cylinder to keep the engine from dumping/wasting gas into a bas cylinder? I am looking for a temp fix to keep the car going to get back and forth to work. I am saving for a new vehicle and don’t want to spend 900 dollars to get it fixed. It is more money than the vehicle is worth.

my wife was at the gas station the other day, and while she was filling up she somehow broke the fuel door off. to save a few bucks I am going to go to a salvage yard, but I don’t even know how to take one off.
