When I have to sit in traffic, will it save more gas if I put my car in neutral, or in park? I’m not able to turn it off

Because of the gas prices, I find myself doing anything to save gas. One thing I do is “park” at stop lights. (Most of the lights where I live are rather long). I know leaving the engine running still uses gas, but does it make a difference, as opposed to just stepping on the brake while in “drive”?
I drive a 2009 Toyota Corolla, if that makes a difference.

If the situation came up where I like had to wait on a train…would i lose more gas if I left the engine in park or if i turned it off and started it up?
And what would be the point where one choice is better then the other?

mechanic is talking bout charging me 40.00 for changing the fuel filter which costs 9.99….. if it’s an easy fix like changing oil and replacing oil filter, i’d like to do it my self and save myself 40.00 plus the overdrft fee that i would get from my bank! i have a 1991 buick park avenue. The fuel filter isnt under the hood. so i guess it’s under the car.

What is the best way to save gas at LONG traffic lights?
I work as a delivery driver, so I drive A LOT. What can I do to save gas when I am delivering the food to the customer?
It takes about 3-5 minutes to get to their door, ring the doorbell, give them the food, take the cash and get back to my car.
What should I do during the time I am delivering the food?
Turn off the car?
Put it in Park?
Neutral with parking brake?
Any other ideas?

Say for instance you are stopped at a fast food place drive through and you want to conserve gas, should you throw it in park and let your foot off the break, or keep it in drive and hold down the break? What setting would save more gas?
