I bought a 2001 PT Cruiser and just noticed the “Trac Off” button.
Why would they allow you to turn this feature off anyway?
Wouldn’t having more traction all the time be a good thing?
Should I only have it turned on in the snow?
Can I save on gas if I keep it turned off?
Just trying to figure out exactly what it does…
It didn’t come with an operators manual but I can look it up online. Thanks!

I am considering on purchasing a motorcycle to commute back and forth to work. It is a 30 minute drive each way on mostly interstate roads. My intention is to reduce my fuel consumption. Is a motorcycle a good way to reduce fuel consumption or should I consider other options? Thanks.

On my Mazda6 (which is an automatic) I can shift over to manual and adust the gears. I’ve never really paid attention to this option, but was wonder if I could use it to save money on gas? Anyone know or if you can tell me why I should use this option?

I’m curious about this, I can use cruise control to work and get there just fine, I also notice my engine isn’t rived up as much as when I drove manually as well. So does cruise control help or hurt my gas mileage. Also if less gasoline is used then there would be less pollution as well. If this is true shouldn’t more vehicles come with cruise control?

Didn’t know if maybe a K&N intake system would work better than a Supertchip, and do they even make a chip of some sort for gas saving on my 4.0L Mercury Mountaineer. Everything advertised talks about better horsepower or better torque, not really concerned about that right now.
