Many years ago when there was a fuel imbargo imposed on the US the Government imposed a 55 mile an hour speed limit all over the country,so why with gas going out of sight dont they set the limit again,or maybe they like the added tax there getting with the high cost.Any thoughts out there or are we doomed till the end?.

If the government advocates less redundant acceleration in traffic, millions of gasoline gallons can be saved. Every time someone brakes there is a waste of fuel. When we anticipate stops and coast to prevent the need to brake, gasoline is conserved. America has too many drivers accelerating towards red traffic lights and red brake lights due to our aggressive driving habits.
