My friend told me that if her hybrid car saves 10 miles per gallon over 20,000 miles it will save 2000 gallons of gas, or about $5000 to $6000 dollars, at least $4000 of which would have been purchased from places like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc. She says that by supply and demand, these gas purchases work into the hands of terrorist countries like Iran who use oil profits to buy weapons to shoot at our troops and regular civilians. Seriously, though, when I go to get gas for my car, is that bascially helping terrorists? I’m a little scared by that because I know a lot of people with big horsepower engines just for fun who don’t think about these things. Is this a way we can help America?
