I think it is so crazy when people wait in line to save a couple of cents per gallon. I have a 40 gallon tank, even if I filled it up that’s only a savings of 80cents, which I would have wasted idling, waiting in line.

Some may disagree, but big cars are safer, little cars are more fuel efficient. I want to stand a chance of walking away if I get hit by a Tahoe, so I prefer a car with a little more girth.
I’m not sure how some of these high mileage, economical, small cars will fare, even with multiple airbags.
I would never forgive myself if something ever happened to my family while driving a tiny car. I choose safety over economy, and cannot justify sacrificing safety for a few dollars in fuel savings. I do want to save the world, also, by using less fuel, but have to be alive to do that.
What do you think?

Seemed like a promising line of cars for the low income to college population.. Also, at 40MPG+ I can’t even complain about the looks. The Geo Tracker looked pretty decent.. I’m thinking about buying a used one, only cause i’ll save on gasoline – however I heard they don’t have the used parts to fix the car anymore. Don’t know if that’s true or not. What would be a good alternative to the geo tracker? (* USED and under $5000 please… *) I’m not a high roller..
