I’m talking about sitting in a traffic jam, waiting for a light, etc. Is this true and does benefit fuel economy, or would it do more damage elsewhere like the transmission?
I need a third opinion.

As per title states, thecar revs at a stable 1000 rev/min on the dashboard and I’ve also noticed that I use more petrol/gas on this car than my BMW 318i!!! I know there’s a way of tweaking it’s idling but I don’t know where it is. Please advise.

Auto transmission, unresolved beer and pizza debate. I don’t even want to get started. Just if you know, please state your opinion and why you know it’s the right answer. I’m just going to show my friend the results, so I’m turning this poll over to the public. Thanks!

Should I warm it up every time with my high idle until transmission temp and water temp have reached a good operating temp? I want to save fuel so I hate to idle so much to warm up but I want what is best for my truck in all regards.

I pulled up at the bank today and the vehicle actually turned off his vehicle while completing his transaction. I figured I was sitting there for about 5 minutes from start to finish. Should I turn off my engine to conserve gas or does shutting down the engine and then restarting use more gas then I would conserve?
