I have a 1997 Honda Accord, and I have changed the spark plugs, the motor oil, the oil filter, and the pcv valve, and I’m just wondering what else can I change to make the car comsume less gas?

I have been using the Tri-Rail for almost two years. They just announced their “Go Green and Save” Campaign. I found it because it offers a giveaway if you register.. a free year transit pass. I heard Tri-Rail uses Biodiesel fuel (since 2008) and was wondering why that was a better solution? Any thoughts?

I drive a 2001 Dodge Durango v8 4.7 2wd. I feel like it consumes a lot of gas!! I have bought formulas for the gas tank and oil tank that seem to have very little affect. I put a K&N air filter that is supposed to help save gas a little but it seems like it does not. Maybe this suv normally consumes a lot of gas?

It’s about time that American’s realize that we are not the only ones on the planet. We represent only 5 percent of the World’s population; however, we consume 25 percent of the world’s energy. I’m glad to see prices climbing! Maybe now American’s will realize that we need to CONSERVE and stop driving the wasteful SUVs to the fast-food drive thru windows and then want to just take a pill to slim down.

The U.S. automakers should make smaller cars so, if you’re seriously OBESE, you’ll have to diet or walk. Also, maybe people will also examine what they are spending their money on… Stop trying to keep up with the Jones’
In response to I <3 Suby, you are right. Are economy is not like those of foreign countries. Our economy is based on Consumerism, buying things that we cannot afford to impress people that we don’t even like. Are food is over-processed and our people are FAT, LAZY and STUPID. Our youth are more concerned with being pop stars, professional athletes, etc. and invest little time or effort in their education.

I for one one wish Food and Gasoline prices would get higher because people would drive less (better for the enviroment) and with higher food prices people would eat less(so many americans are grossly overweight).

Today there are so many vehicles on the roads it’s not good for our precious enviroment,it’s not safe for people that are walking or riding a bicycle with the many accidents that happen worldwide.People should use public transportation more (Buses and trains) or use a bicycle to get to work,or walk there if possible,it’s better for our fragile earth and good excersie too.
With prices for food as high as they are people should consider eating only one meal a day,it’s all you need, you’ll also save money too.Other ways to save money are not having children, stop taking vacations, get rid of your cell phone.Go to the library more.Enjoy life more.Who agrees with all this?

the roads are becoming congested again with people reverting to their old wasteful habits. You would think that after that last spike in prices, people would learn to conserve before the price goes up, but apparently not.

To me it seems like the gas in my tank is burning faster than it has before. I have even tried conserving, like easing off the accelerator and everything else I can think of. I’m thinking I’m either imagining it, or the oil companies are pulling more tricks. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
