Is There Any Drawback To Installing Fuel Saving And Hp Increasing Modules Or Chips In Your Car?

I am looking into purchasing a module to tune my vehicle’s ECU to allow the engine to run at stoichiometric levels which maximizes performance and improves fuel economy simultaneously. Sounds too good. Is there some disadvantage of buying this that I’m not aware of?
