I have a 2001 Honda Civic, and I use to easily get at LEAST 30 mpg, maybe even 35 (I do all highway driving, and very rarely do i drive in the city)
I don’t take off like a maniac, I drive normal, and conserve gas as best I can. I have noticed lately that my gas milage is only like 20 mpg at BEST. I got an alignment (they showed me the papers, they had all tires to .01, almost perfect), my car still does pull to the left (The car was in an accident with its previous owner and I believe the body of the car or frame is bent), checked my tire pressure, its perfect. Tires have around 15k miles on them, normal wear, nothing big.
I noticed recently that my gas mileage is terrible!! I don’t know if it’s just because it’s the winter or what, but it has to change; my 98 Taurus got better gas mileage.
I was thinking maybe my car was arcing out, but I don’t notice any hesitation when I’m driving; OEM plugs and wires on the car….
any ideas?
Thanks!
Also, I just had my air filter changed, and I use synthetic oil only in my car and that is fine as well.

Gas is very high but we were warned to conserve before now and many didn’t listen and bought the SUVs anyway.
Many of those people buying the SUV’s were using them as their were meant to be used. As an off road vehichle. They mostly bought them for status. A family as a rule, doesn’t really need one of those monsters to haul your 2.5 kids around.
