Coasting is useless as a fuel saver. Careful acceleration and braking will be much more fuel efficient.
If you are in Great Britain, it IS illegal to coast. It is classified as “Not being in full control of the vehicle”
American law may be different…

This is a proven SCAM, even though many people are in denial about it or should I say desperate for it to be true.
The energy required to separate the water into Hydrogen and Oxygen is more than the energy you can get back out of it when you burn it in your engine.
In other words, the drag on your alternator will lower the mileage more than burning the HHO gas will gain mileage.
Anybody claiming better mileage is probably running their engine too lean and will pay for it in the future with expensive repairs.

I have 25(it was 20 to 22) minutes of driving to my job. I was driving around 70mph and I’ve slowed down to between 63 and 65, but never more than 65. The difference in gas consumption is large on my car. I’m finding that it takes an extra day or two before I need to fill the tank again.
Is anyone else here doing this?

I just got me a 2003 Ford Explorer and although I’m aware it’s not the most gas efficient vehicle, I still want to do all in my power to fight the expensive gas prices. All serious answers are appreciated. Thank you.

Does it make a difference for gas consumption if an automatic car is put into neutral while at a traffic light or coasting to a stop?

when you’re waiting for someone and it might take them a minute or two to get in the car.. does it conserve more gas to turn your car off for a few minutes then back on.. or to just sit there with the car running?

Today’s technology is certainly capable of developing gas saving devices that could virgually double the gas mileage of today’s vehicles except that as soon as they do, the oil companies and all related money mongers see to it that it’s taken off the market. Why isn’t someone working on this instead of planting corn for gasoline that might get a few cents cheaper?? There’s a desperate need to squeeze twice (or more) mileage out of every gallon of gasoline !! It’s out there, but where?
