I have a 98 Ford Ranger and never use the 4 wheel drive. If I disconnect it, will it help on gas mileage at all? It sucks it down right now.

I would connect it in a way that whenever the brake pedal is pressed 2 injectors (one on each bank) would be disconnected. And when pedal is released it would be normal. Will pcm increase injector pulse width to compensate or what you people think?
