Say a 300 mile trip. You will of course be more awake if you were driving and lets admit it, it gets kinda boring to use cruise control. So how much difference could cruise actually make in gas consumption. Thanks for the help.

Lets say I am going 200 miles non stop with cc set at 75mph……… would this save gas over my normal driving between 70-80mph with frequent acceleration and deceleration?
Also what if i was driving downhill and I dont have to give gas for 7 miles due to gravity……. does it save gas even tho engine is running still?

It seems like my gas actually depletes even faster using cruise control…not sure if it’s a myth or not. But it makes sense in that you’re traveling w/ a consistent speed and the engine in general is not fluctuating as much.
