Back in the 70′s I believe we DID have a national speed limit. Those of you who don’t think driving 55 or 60 will save gas probably don’t know how to read. Any publication that discusses saving gas, such as Consumers Report or Popular Science and many other intelligent publications will inform you that these speeds DO save fuel. Unless, of course you don’t give a _ _ _ _ about our Country.

Corn provides nice environmental benefits but only provides a portion of the efficiency for our cars meaning the costs is still higher than traditional gasoline. and it seems ethanol is the main alternative that is getting funded. So are you willing to compromise gas mileage in lieu of saving our environment?
Instead of $2.80 per gallon and 23 mpg you may only get 16 mpg at $3.20 per gallon so you have to purchase more gas to go the same distance….but you’ll feel better for not having added to the global warming. Don’t you feel better?
(The added cost is why we have ethanol added to our gasoline instead of a multitude of pure ethanol stations. In times of gasoline crisis, the government has added ethanol to stretch our reserves.)
